Affiliate Disclosure
Expat Cove is reader-supported. Some links on this site are affiliate links: if you sign up for or buy a product through them, we may earn a commission at no additional cost to you. This is how we fund our research. It does not change which products we recommend.
How affiliate links work
When we mention a service we cover — for example travel-medical insurance, money-transfer accounts, eSIMs or VPNs — the link may be an affiliate link. If you use it and become a customer, the company pays us a referral commission. You pay exactly the same price you would otherwise; the commission comes out of the company's marketing budget, not your pocket.
Our promise
- Recommendations come first. We suggest products based on whether they actually meet the requirement we're writing about — for example, whether an insurance plan satisfies the €30,000 Schengen visa minimum, including medical repatriation.
- We say when a link is sponsored. Affiliate links carry the appropriate
rel="sponsored"attribute, and we disclose the relationship on the page. - Verify it yourself. We always point you to the official rules so you can confirm a product fits your situation before you buy.
- Money never buys a recommendation. We will not rank a worse product above a better one because it pays more.
Programs we may participate in
We may earn commissions from providers in categories such as international and travel-medical insurance, multi-currency banking and money transfer, eSIM/connectivity, and VPNs — typically through their own affiliate programs or established networks. The presence or absence of an affiliate relationship never determines our editorial verdict.
